BOOKING INFO
Bookings are secured with 20% deposit at the time of booking, the remainder will be paid in full upon completion of the session. You’ll only be charged for time we actually use, so don’t worry if you find you’ve booked too much time. No files will be shared until all payments have cleared.
Sessions can be cancelled up to 4 weeks prior, where your deposit will be refunded back to you, any cancellations within the 4-week period will not be refunded.
Standard session times run from 10am to 7pm unless arranged otherwise. While it can be tempting to try and squeeze as many songs into one session, this will inevitably affect the quality of the recordings and most likely create a pressurised environment for musicians leading to more failed takes and unnecessary stress. We do not want this! Sessions should be kept calm and professional with a clear, achievable goal in mind, which is why I suggest artists to bare the following guidelines in mind when booking in:
1 Song = 2 Days
2 Songs = 3 Days
3 Songs = 4 Days
and so on…
This won’t always apply as every artist/band is different but it’s a good starting point.
RECORDING
Professional recording sessions for full bands and artists in a personal and informal studio environment, focused on achieving polished, professional results. We specialise in multitrack recording, giving you the flexibility to build and refine projects from initial ideas through to the finished track.
We also offer demo recording sessions, typically completed within a half session, using simple arrangements to help develop and capture the core idea of a song. We can also record overdubs for artists working on existing projects, whether it’s adding lead vocals or a few extra guitar layers, we’ve got you covered.
We have plenty of backline and instruments, see the full list here.
Half Session (5 Hours) — £90
Full Session (9 Hours) — £160 (discounted day rate)
MiXING & MASTERING
Mixing and Mastering is an optional extra we provide at Waterside Studios. A Rough Mix is included within the standard session-rate, which will be an export of where the project is at by the end of the session. This will have no additional editing or processing and will not be mastered to radio/streaming loudness levels.
We also accept bookings for ‘Remote Mixes and Masters’, meaning you have recorded your track elsewhere and want it mixing and polishing to the highest standard.
A fully professional mix is an optional extra that is charged at a flat fee of £130 per track. Any small level changes you request will be done free of charge; any significant changes will be charged at an hourly rate of£20ph.
You will receive a ‘Mix Pack’ which will contain:
- Final Mix
- Instrumental Mix (Lead and Backing Vocals removed)
- TV Mix (Lead Vocals removed only)
- Vocal Only Mix
- Stems (processed stereo bounces of each instrument group i.e. Drums, Bass, Guitars, Vocals)
Mastering is charged at a flat fee of £30 per track and is an optional extra on-top of recording and mixing.
All files delivered will be Stereo WAVE files in 24bit, 48kHz format.
OFFERS & DISCOUNTS
We offer a 10% discount on your total fee if you book 3 or more sessions at once; you get more time for your money as less time is spent on setting up equipment, especially micing drums. For example, if we were to record a 3-Track EP, all drums would be done on the first day, then all bass and guitars, then vocals, and final production tweaks/overdubs.
Short-notice sessions may be offered at a reduced rate so keep an eye on our Social Media pages for any last minute availability.
